Send a Facebook Event as a Campaign?
If you advertise events on Facebook,
you may want to send a campaign to your list that lets them RSVP. To do this,
use Mail Chimp's Facebook Events Auto Connect template to create a
campaign that pulls in content from one of your Facebook events. When your
subscribers receive your campaign, they RSVP to your event.
In this article, you'll learn to create a campaign with content pulled in from a Facebook event, and update your event information in a draft campaign.
Before You Start
Here
are some things to know before you begin this process.

Create
your event in Facebook before you create your campaign in Mail Chimp.

We
recommend that you integrate Facebook with
your Mail Chimp account before you send an event as a campaign.

If
you haven't set up your Facebook integration before creating a Facebook event
campaign, you can click Connect on
the Template step, and follow the prompts to connect
Mail Chimp to your Facebook account.
Select the Facebook Auto Connect Template
To
send a Facebook event as a campaign, follow these steps.
1.
Navigate
to the Template step of the Campaign Builder.
2. Click the Themes tab.
3. Click the All drop-down
menu, and choose Auto Connect.
4. Select the Facebook
Events template.
5. In the pop-up modal,
click the drop-down menu, and choose the Facebook event you want to use.
6. Click Connect.
7. Continue through the
Campaign Builder.
When
your subscribers click to RSVP from your campaign , they'll be added to the event guest list and
we'll open the event in Facebook for them.
Refresh Event Information in Mail Chimp
If
your event is updated on Facebook after you've already created your campaign,
you'll need to re select the Facebook template to refresh the information. To do
this, follow these steps.
1.
Navigate
to the Campaigns page.
2. Click the name of the
draft Facebook Event campaign you want to work with.
3. Navigate to the Template step
of the Campaign Builder.
4. Click the Themes tab.
5. Click the All drop-down
menu, and choose Auto Connect.
6. Select the Facebook
Events template.
7. Continue through the
Campaign Builder.
You
should see the correct information for your Facebook event displayed on
the Design step of the Campaign Builder.
